Welcome to www.jsphp.com, the home of the free open-source JsPHP library. The www.jsphp.com website is a 100% free community resource that provides a collaborative platform and web-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for building an open-source JavaScript library called JsPHP that provides an implementation of the PHP API for JavaScript environments.

An Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is a tool for writing computer programs, and that's what the www.jsphp.com website is: a tool for creating and testing software. In the www.jsphp.com IDE registered users can edit the JavaScript functions in the JsPHP library and can also write code to test that those functions are working properly or to test how well those functions perform (how fast they run when they are executed on the computer). If you're just starting out with learning JavaScript then helping out at www.jsphp.com is the perfect way for you to get started, because we have lots of beginner level work that needs to be done that you could help us with. If you're interested in learning about JavaScript and want to help out as a volunteer contributor at www.jsphp.com then sign-up and get in contact, we'll do everything we can to help get you on your feet and begin learning about how to program your computers and websites.

The www.jsphp.com website aims to be a better version of phpjs.org. On this website you can search for, view, and download the code for the functions in our JsPHP library, or you can register and become a JsPHP contributor. Once you've registered you will have access to the development features of this site, meaning you can edit functions, create and run unit tests, create and run benchmarks, and leave comments for other contributors or users. We'd love you to sign-up and take our web-based IDE for a spin, and you can let us know what you think in the comments!

The www.jsphp.com website and JsPHP library are ProgClub projects. ProgClub is a free international club for computer programmers that aims to promote and foster programming skills and free software in our global community. Our first version of www.jsphp.com went live on Decemeber 21st 2011. Be warned that this project is still under development. Feel free to poke around, it's OK if you break things. We break things all the time. :)

The www.jsphp.com project is in two parts. There is the JavaScript library itself, which is what the system manages, we call this the JsPHP library, and there is the system which manages the library, which we call the Pcphpjs project.

The JsPHP library is dual licensed under the MIT and GPL licenses, as per the license of the upstream contributors at phpjs.org. The Pcphpjs project is licensed under the New BSD license. See the project pages for further details: JsPHP and Pcphpjs.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please send them to John Elliot. You can find John's contact information on the contacts page.

Thanks for swinging by!

Now that you know about the JsPHP library and the www.jsphp.com website, you're probably wondering what to do next. We recommend that you checkout our demo which will give you a comprehensive run-down of what's available on this website.
